About The Project

Our team was very excited to be part of the groundbreaking release of Ara: History Untold for Xbox.For ARA, to create the fully CGI environments, we used our real-time pipeline, allowing us to previsualize each shot in real-time, before we even stepped onto set.

What made the process so exciting how we were able blend the real world with the digital in a way that feels natural, creating a world where everything, from the talent to the intricate throne and the playful Pug, exists seamlessly together.

Process

Every detail was ironed out before the first frame was shot, speeding up production and ensuring that the vision for the spot was locked in early. It’s a game-changer when you’re working with complex environments and effects.

One of the biggest challenges was integrating the thrones—an intricate, ornate set piece the talent interacted with. To accomplish this, we scanned each throne in 3D down to the finest detail, so it could be seamlessly brought into the CGI world. Even the cute Pug that shared the scene was scanned, ensuring its every movement would sync perfectly with the digital environment .
By scanning these elements during the shoot, we laid the foundation for a flawless post-production process.

Once the footage was wrapped, the CGI process began. By the time we added the final composite touches, the spot felt less like a series of stitched-together elements and more like a living, breathing scene where live action and CGI coexisted in perfect harmony.

Our VFX team focuses on the point where collaboration and technology merge to bring fantastical visions to life, faster and more vividly than ever before.
